Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions

The gasses that catch the liquid in the air are called greenhouse gasses. These gasses are:

Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), Hydro Fluro Carbons (HFCs), Perfluorocarbons (PFCs), Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6)

Carbon Dioxide Emissions

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas spread through human activities. Carbon dioxide is naturally found in the atmosphere as part of the world's carbon cycle (the natural carbon cycle between the atmosphere, oceans, soil, plants and animals).

CO2 forms as a result of the conversion of human activities and the amount formed is defined as carbon footprint. Some natural cycles simultaneously reduce amount of carbon.

Sources of carbon dioxide emission and carbon dioxide sinks have been identified below.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO REDUCE CARBON FOOTPRİNT ?
FORESTATION
  • The trees that are planted fight against the greenhouse gas effect. One tree helps wipe out an average 22.5 kg of CO2 per year.
  • There are 241 trees at our facilities. This contributes to the reduction of 5.42 tons of CO2.
LIGHT EMITTING DIOD
  • Our logistics warehouses are equipped with the smart illumination system to provide power savings. The illumination systems are activated automatically based on human movement.
NEW GENERATION VEHICLE FLEET
  • New generation vehicles are used to reduce fuel consumption and contribute to reducing carbon dioxide and other harmful emissions with Euro5 emission engines.
CONSOLIDE TRANSPORTATION
  • The shippment chain is planned regionally through the effective planning of the fleet management. Additional vehicles and fuel is avoided to contribute to a reduction in emission.
TRACK & TRACE
  • Our vehicle fleet is being monitored with the Track and Trace system, thus preventing extra kilometers. Our aim to reduce emissions by preventing extra kilometers and fuel consumption.
ELECTRIC VEHICLES
  • Our aim is to reduce carbon release and the use of fossil fuels with the two electric vehicles we added to our fleet.
WASTE SEPERATION AT SOURCE
  • Waste seperatıon at source is supported by source-separation to contribute to recycling, to avoid overfilling waste areas, and to prevent additional power consumption.
SMART BUILDINGS
  • Air curtains are activated with the release of the ramp doors, and deactivated when it is closed.
  • There are sensors in humidity control rooms and cold rooms with the same mentality, and likely to prevent heat transmission, with power saving also ensured.
